Students will learn to design, debug and run programs coded in Python. The course also familiarizes students with general computer programming concepts like conditional execution, loops, Python syntax, semantics and the runtime environment. The course begins with the universal basics, without relying on object concepts, then gradually extends to advanced concepts that are encountered using the objective approach. Students will learn the syntax, semantics and basic data types of the C++ language and demonstrate the means to resolve typical implementation problems with the help of standard C++ language libraries. The course is aligned with the CPA - C++ Certified Associate Programmer Certification. It prepares students to work as a pharmacy technician in a pharmacy setting. Once complete, students will have the tools needed to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's PTCB exam. Opportunities for externships are available with this program.
