Our cover story this month features the first Mobile Stoke Treatment Unit (MSTU) on the East Coast, as well as the team and the technology that has catapulted stoke care forward. The MSTU is essentially an emergency department on wheels, which allows patients experiencing a stroke to begin receiving treatment even faster — sometimes up to 40 minutes sooner than a patient taken to the emergency department by a typical ambulance. In this month's issue, we also examine barriers that discourage patients from pursuing body-contouring procedures after bariatric surgery.
