WELCOME TO Parenting U Parenting is a great adventure. Each day is different, and there is always something new to learn or discover, both for you and your child. If you are looking for expert answers to your parenting questions, or just want to connect with other families in the area, Children's Hospital Colorado's free parenting seminars are a great way to get started. Cool Off with Banana "Ice Cream" The summer months promise the return of ice cream and Sno-Cone trucks. Before handing over pocket change to your child, consider making this healthy treat at home. W ant your kids to cool off while enjoying a healthy snack? All you need are bananas, a freezer and a blender! "In general, children drink way too many sugary drinks and indulge in high-calorie treats when they're out of school," said Helen Seagle, Clinical Dietitian Supervisor at Children's Hospital Colorado. "Many fresh fruits are at their prime during the summer, so try adding berries or diced fruit when making ice cubes, or whipping up a fruit smoothie with vanilla yogurt, banana, half a cup of blueberries and a couple of ice cubes. Overripe bananas also make great one-ingredient ice cream." POTTY TRAINING Banana Ice Cream May 14, 6:30 to 8 p.m. INGREDIENTS Central Park Recreation Center 9651 E.
