TEE UP for a Good Cause The 14th annual Huron Regional Medical Center Foundation Humanitarian Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, at Broadland Creek National Golf Course. This relaxing day of golfing will be followed by dinner at the Huron Country Club. "This tournament is an enjoyable way for folks to wrap up the golfing season," says Paul Rann, executive director of the HRMC Foundation. "Proceeds will benefit health care in the community by funding a variety of HRMC improvement projects and healthcare educational opportunities." One of two major HRMC Foundation fundraising events, the Humanitarian Golf Tournament helps support Foundation activities including purchases of equipment and supplies for departments throughout the hospital and scholarships to help further the healthcare careers of local students and professionals. The Humanitarian Golf Tournament is open to participants of all ages and skill levels and will feature a scramble format with a few fun-filled twists. Telephone pre-registration continues through Friday, Sept. 6. Eventday registration begins at 9 a.m., and tee off starts promptly at 10 a.m. Team cost is $350 and includes green fees, cart rental and a delicious lunch and dinner. HRMC Foundation Helping Hands Program 2014 Campaign – Employee Donors The Helping Hands Fund provides HRMC employees an opportunity to support various capital projects, such as new equipment, facility expansion/renovation and staff training, as well as other special projects such as the Employee Crisis Fund and scholarships. The program allows employees the flexibility to direct funds where they are needed most. Employees donate through either outright gifts or via payroll deduction.
