Welcome, Dr. Lund Orthopedic surgeon Peter Lund, MD, is now seeing patients at Rhea Medical Center. DR. LUND HAS 13 years of experience practicing orthopedic medicine in a rural setting. His dedication to improving the quality of his patients' lives and ability to handle a wide variety of orthopedic conditions make him an ideal fit as RMC continues to expand the availability and quality of local surgical services. "I chose to go into orthopedic medicine because I knew the field has the potential to drastically improve the quality of people's lives," Dr. Lund says. "As a physician, my goal is to treat each patient the way I'd want my family to be cared for. That means always putting patient interests first, and providing care close to home is part of that commitment." After receiving his medical degree at Tulane University, Dr. Lund completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship. In addition to providing general orthopedic care, he is also capable of supplying specialized care to the hand, wrist, shoulder, and elbow. Dr. Lund recently relocated to the Chattanooga area with his wife, Courtney, and his daughters. He enjoys his quiet commute to Rhea County and spending his free time with his family exploring the community. TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR. LUND, PLEASE CALL CHATTANOOGA BONE AND JOINT SURGEONS AT 423.893.9020. Say It in a Lasting Inscription A commemorative brick is a wonderful way to memorialize loved ones, celebrate important achievements, or simply express lasting messages of love. THE RHEA MEDICAL Healthcare Foundation offers the opportunity to honor important people in your life and at the same time support local access to advanced medical services. Each commemorative brick is designed to withstand deterioration from weather and foot traffic and is installed around the Lanny E. Mauldin Friendship Fountain in Rhea Medical Center's courtyard. "Proceeds from the commemorative brick program and this year's foundation events will help fund the purchase of a digital electrocardiography machine for the RMC emergency department [ED]," says Becky Bodkin, Director of the Rhea Medical Healthcare Foundation. "The Foundation plans to begin a new tradition to honor the community members who help make such enhancements possible: afternoon tea in the courtyard for brick purchasers. These periodic weekend events will be lovely ways to celebrate our friends and the loved ones they recognize with their generosity. I can't wait to host the first one!" For as little as $50, your 4-by-8 inch brick will be inscribed with a three-line, 20-character message, and you and your honoree will receive a keepsake certificate. TO PURCHASE A COMMEMORATIVE BRICK, CALL BODKIN AT 423.775.8580 OR VISIT RHEAMEDICAL.ORG AND SELECT "FOUNDATION" TO DOWNLOAD AN ORDER FORM. Come out to the Dayton National Guard Armory on Saturday, Nov. 23, and kick off the holiday season at the Rhea Medical Healthcare Foundation's Rhea-diant Holiday Celebration! RHEAMEDICAL.ORG 7
