Teddy Bear PJ Storytime October 18, 6–8 p.m. Putnam Hospital Center Lower Lobby Sponsored by the Friends of PHC, the free event includes storytelling by a local, published children's author, teddy bear clinic and crafts. Babysitting Preparedness Course November 2, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Vassar Brothers Medical Center–Joseph Tower Building Auditorium Because the way we handle emergencies has changed, babysitting preparedness is an important course for teens, expectant parents and grandparents to ensure childcare skills are up to date. Successful completion of this course will result in a two-year certification from the American Safety and Health Institute. Not for professionals in daycare, camp counseling or the medical field.
