HYBRID OR AT VIA CHRISTI OFFERS NEW OPPORTUNITIES

In early 2012, community physicians in Wichita approached the administration at
Via Christi to explore the potential of adding a hybrid operating room at Via Christi
Hospital St. Francis, which would allow for the development of a transcatheter aortic
valve replacement program. The hybrid OR became a reality and today enables Via
Christi to provide procedures and services that patients would otherwise have
to travel to places such as Kansas City and Denver to receive.
