New To become board certified, Dr. Jesse passed a written exam to demonstrate that he had obtained the special knowledge and skills required for the medical and surgical care of newborns through adolescents. Dr. Jesse provides kid-friendly care to children of all ages. In addition to seeing patients in his clinic practice, Dr. Jesse is available for care of the newborn after delivery at HRMC, as well as after-hours care of illnesses or accidents in HRMC's emergency room. He earned his medical degree from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Dr. Jesse completed his internship and residency in Grand Rapids, Mich., at the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, a freestanding 100-bed children's hospital with a 120-bed neonatal intensive care unit. Dr. Jesse is now seeing patients in suite 107 of the Professional Arts Building located at 530 Iowa Avenue SE. Appointments can be made by calling (605) 352-6500. Erica Gillette, MD, board-certified family medicine with obstetrics physician, recently joined the Huron Regional Medical Center staff. Dr. Gillette, who sees patients at Huron Clinic, provides primary care for patients of all ages in the Huron area, as well as obstetrical care and delivery services for expectant mothers. Dr. Gillette's clinical interests include preventive care, women's health, pediatrics and obstetrics. Dr. Gillette earned her doctor of medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed her residency at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Ind., where she received extensive training in intensive care, pediatrics, and obstetrical care and procedures, including cesarean section. Prior to joining Huron Clinic, Dr. Gillette practiced at a primary care clinic in Fairfax, Mo. Her certifications include basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), advanced trauma life support (ATLS), advanced life support in obstetrics (ALSO), neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). Dr. Gillette recently relocated to Huron from Missouri with her husband, Jason, and three children: Ava, age 9; Landon, age 7; and Mariah, age 2.
