his past October, workers broke ground on Texas Health Outpatient Center Willow Park, a $20 million, 60,000-square- foot facility that will bring Texas Health services to Parker County for the first time. Texas Health Willow Park is slated to open its doors during the fourth quarter of 2014, making medical services much more convenient for residents of its namesake city. Currently, they must drive nearly 10 miles to reach a hospital. "Willow Park and its neighbors are growing communities, and it's important to their residents' health to have medical care close to home," says Becky Tucker, administrator at Texas Health Outpatient Centers Burleson and Willow Park. "We will provide services focused on prevention and wellness, hopefully reducing the need for inpatient admissions." FULFILLING MANY NEEDS The 8-acre Texas Health Willow Park campus, located at Interstate 20 and Crown Pointe Boulevard, will feature a variety of services catering to a wide range of patients, from individuals needing emergency care to those seeking Flipping the Focus Texas Health Outpatient Center Willow Park will be an integrated health campus, a place where Parker County residents can turn when they're sick or well. "Texas Health Willow Park is another example of Texas Health Resources' innovative transition from sickness services to services that focus on the health and well-being of a population," says Becky Tucker, administrator at Texas Health Outpatient Centers Burleson and Willow Park. "Our chronic disease management program will educate patients about their conditions and steer them to resources that will help them manage their illnesses in more empowering, cost-effective ways. The fitness center will offer wellness and prevention programs for all ages. When patients are ill, physician services and the Emergency Department will be here for them. Everything patients need will be at one facility." Putting Down Roots in Parker County Texas Health Resources is going where it's never gone before — and that's good news for the city of Willow Park and neighboring communities. to rebuild strength and functionality following cardiac surgery. Key services will include: • Behavioral health • Cardiac rehabilitation • Chronic disease management • Fitness center • Freestanding Emergency Department • Imaging • Laboratory • Physical, hand and sports therapy A three-story medical office building will house primary care physicians and specialists, possibly including cardiologists, orthopedists, obstetricians/gynecologists and urologists. Texas Health Willow Park will also have the ability to grow with the communities it serves. Texas Health leaders plan to bring a surgery center and space for more physicians and services to the campus in the future.
