LONGMONT UNITED HOSPITAL SPRING 2014
A quiet environment has been proven to reduce stress
and promote healing. That's why peace and relaxation
should be important parts of every treatment plan.
"RESEARCH HAS SHOWN that ambient noise can disrupt patients'
sleep, as well as increase anxiety and the need for medication," says
Donelle Morse, RN, BSN, intensive care staff educator at Longmont
United Hospital. "Being proactive about reducing noise is beneficial
for the health of all patients."

"MY HEALTH IS THE RESULT of several years of behind-the-
scenes work to improve patient safety, quality of care, and
efficiency," says Michael Jefferies, vice president
of information systems at Longmont United
Hospital. "It's a secure, private, online system
where you can view your medical records,
including the medications you were prescribed,
any allergies you have, and even certain kinds of test results
without making a trip to the office or picking up the phone."
Hospital patients can also print or download a copy for their personal
use and in the future will be able to initiate secure record transfers to
other participating doctors.
Watch your email. After the My Health launch, patients will receive
secure links to sign up.
