Longmont United Hospital provides a quiet environment to support relaxation and healing. 2 LONGMONT UNITED HOSPITAL SPRING 2014 A quiet environment has been proven to reduce stress and promote healing. That's why peace and relaxation should be important parts of every treatment plan. "RESEARCH HAS SHOWN that ambient noise can disrupt patients' sleep, as well as increase anxiety and the need for medication," says Donelle Morse, RN, BSN, intensive care staff educator at Longmont United Hospital. "Being proactive about reducing noise is beneficial for the health of all patients."
