This event will be held Thursday, May 8, at Ford Park in Beaumont. Melissa's lunchtime address headlines a day designed to inspire and empower women to take control of their physical, mental and spiritual health. In front of the camera since age 4, Melissa is best known for her work in television. Her first big role was as the title character in the 1990s Nickelodeon sitcom "Clarissa Explains It All." Later in the decade, she starred in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," a multi-network hit. Melissa currently appears opposite Joey Lawrence in ABC Family's "Melissa & Joey," now in its fourth season. She has also appeared in television and feature films, as well as Broadway and off-Broadway productions. She co-owns a production company, Hartbreak Films, with her mother, Paula. TAKE A BACK SEAT, HOLLYWOOD Melissa's many roles keep her busy, but she never loses sight of the most important parts she plays: wife and mother. Her husband and three sons are the top priorities in her life. "Ms. Hart takes family seriously, as we do here," says Becky Howard, Regional Events Specialist for CHRISTUS Southeast Texas. "What will resonate with women is her 'abnormally normal life,' to borrow from the title of her recently released memoir. Women can relate to everything she goes through, including having an active career, children and a working husband. She is going to deliver a great, family-focused message with lots of humor." Registration for the 2014 CHRISTUS LiveWell Women's Conference is now open. To sign up, visit www.christuslivewell.org or call 409.899.7700. Cost of attendance is $50.
