nthony Schioppo has lived his whole life in
Staten Island. He's a New Yorker through and
through. The idea that he would go to New
Jersey rather than Manhattan for medical care is
something he says he "never, ever, ever" would have
considered six years ago.
That was before he met Alan S. Nasar, MD, medical
director of the Total Joint Center of New Jersey at
CentraState Medical Center.
Anthony was so pleased with the care he received
during his total right knee replacement in March
2008 that his wife, Dorothy, turned to Dr. Nasar for
a double knee replacement seven months later.
During the next four years, Anthony had his left hip
and left knee replaced with Dr. Nasar. And in April
2013, his younger brother, Stephen, became the
third member of the family to have a knee replaced
at CentraState.
