December 2012, the most recent data reported by The Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART). The new data illustrates that RMANJ continues to generate some of the highest IVF delivery rates in the United States, including a 65 percent delivery rate in women younger than 35 (thawed embryos from non-donor oocytes), and 23 points higher than the U.S. national average. As required by the Fertility Clinic Success Rate and Certification Act of 1992, reproductive endocrinologists must report IVF delivery rates to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and SART. RMANJ's full Clinic Summary Report can be viewed at www.sart.org. Morristown Medical Center has partnered with healthcare technol - ogy company HT Systems to offer its biometric patient identifica- tion solution PatientSecure. Morristown Medical Center is the first health system in the state of New Jersey to deploy the system. PatientSecure utilizes palm vein pattern recognition technology and links the patient to his/her unique medical record. As an added bonus, PatientSecure gives patients protection against medical identity theft. It accelerates registration, decreases patient wait time, and puts a stop to duplicate medical records and overlays. Since implementing the program on Jan. 28, Morristown Medical Center had enrolled 3,302 patients. Palm vein scanning is more accurate than fingerprint recognition technology. The vein pattern is unique to each person and does not change over the course of his/her lifetime.
