Papa Luigi hosted a "Night at the Movies" on Saturday, March 8, at the Huron Event Center. Guests and local "celebrity" hosts dressed in a wide variety of actor and actress costumes while raising money for the HRMC Foundation. "Once again, the community demonstrated its unyielding support for high-quality, local health care," says Paul Rann, executive director of the HRMC Foundation. "Thank you to everyone who attended the Papa Luigi event, the 'celebrity' hosts, the planning committee members and, of course, all of the sponsors. Without their support, this event would not have been so successful." Funds raised through sponsorships, dinner tickets, tips and other donations will be used to help the HRMC Foundation fulfill its mission of supporting and enhancing HRMC. The HRMC Foundation provides needed scholarships to area students pursuing degrees in health care and purchases equipment, supplies and services on behalf of HRMC. Mark your calendar for next year's event, scheduled for March 7, 2015. Papa Luigi will be heading back in time to "The Roaring '20s," and we hope you can make the trip! 2014 Papa Luigi Raises $41,000 for HRMC Foundation Above: John Robert, MD, general surgeon (left), and Jesse Van Heukelom, MD, pediatrician, reprise the roles of Laurel and Hardy for the 2014 Papa Luigi event.
