We are here for you as your partner in helping your young patients develop both healthy bodies and healthy minds. In May, we gathered leaders from other children's hospitals, psychiatry, and other disciplines for a Mental Health Summit, to discuss ways to improve mental health care for children and teens. From the ideas proposed, we are exploring ways to collaborate further with DC, Maryland, and Virginia schools, physicians, businesses, and community organizations. Together we can lead the way to better quality and access to mental health care for children in our region. In May, Children's National opened a new Fetal Medicine Institute to offer expanded specialty care for high-risk fetuses. The Institute delivers seamless care between obstetric/maternal and fetal medicine practitioners. This new facility advances our vision of fetal medicine as "prenatal pediatrics," offering more precise diagnostics and monitoring tools and ensuring continuity through postnatal care. When your patients need specialty imaging or treatment for rare but serious conditions, our team stands ready to work with you. Our Division of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology has highly trained specialists in fields such as brain, musculoskeletal, and intestinal imaging, along with pediatric nuclear medicine— with facilities designed to put kids at ease. Our cancer specialists are here to help with serious conditions such as pediatric so tissue sarcomas that pediatricians may see only once in a career. I look forward to our continued partnership with you in these and many other areas. Together, we stand for children. Sincerely, Kurt Newman, MD EATING DISORDERS The Donald Delaney Eating Disorders Clinic at Children's National Health System works with pediatric patients facing the serious medical and emotional consequences of an eating disorder. ONCOLOGY Most pediatricians see sarcoma once or twice in a career. At Children's National Health System, our team of sarcoma specialists has the expertise to improve outcomes for young patients with these tumors. 14 10 COMMUNICATION At Children's National Health System, ensuring optimal patient outcomes starts with the simplest of exchanges: clear communication between all members of the healthcare team. 15 It takes a team of subspecialized radiologists with access to the most adaptive imaging technologies available to truly bring children's health into focus. 6 RADIOLOGY VIDEO RESEARCH REFERRAL WEB RESOURCES T E L L U S W H AT YO U T H I N K !
