Charitable gift annuities allow donors to give a sum that the
Foundation invests to generate income for fixed annuity payments to the donors. At the time of the original gift, a donor may be able to claim a charitable donation tax deduction based on a portion of the investment. Once the annuity terminates, the Foundation retains the remaining amount
as a legacy gift for the improvement of the hospital. “As one of the largest employers and a provider of excellent care, Claxton- Hepburn is truly important to this community,” says Cindy Clusen, executive director of the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Foundation. “Charitable gift annuities allow you to support the hospital for your family and the generations that will follow.”
