welloneconnection 5 Since 2007, Huron Regional Medical Center has partnered with the South Dakota State Fair and other local organizations to host an event dedicated exclusively to women. The SD Women's Expo began as a way to promote breast cancer awareness and has since expanded to cover a broad range of women's health issues in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Attendance has grown to more than 1,000 women, and typically more than one-third of attendees complete vital health screenings. Several women have experienced early diagnosis of breast or skin cancer as a result of attending the Expo screenings. This year's "Color Me" theme brings a wide variety of informational and entertainment offerings.
