Dr. Scheirer has served on the hospital’s Physician Advisory Committee for Informat- ics and the Clinical Systems Committee and currently serves on the Patient Care and Transitional Care Committees as well as on the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff. He is clinical assistant professor of medicine at Jefferson Medical College and is a physician champion for the Pennsylvania Improving Performance in Practice (IPIP) initiative. He has assisted IPIP with quality improvement data analysis and serves as faculty member in a collaborative aimed at improving statewide colorectal cancer screening rates. He is also a faculty member in a collaborative of Pennsyl- vania residency programs seeking to improve health care quality and to become patient-cen- tered medical homes. Karen A. THREE COMMUNITY LEADERS ELECTED TO READING HOSPITAL BOARD Three community leaders were elected to three-year terms on the board of directors of both The Reading Hos- pital and Medical Center and its parent corpora- tion The Reading Hospital. THE READING HOSPITAL SELECTS ONFOCUS FOR PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT INTEGRATION onFocus Healthcare, Inc. signed an agree- ment to provide its onFocus|epm system to The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
