P AUL T. SCHEATZLE, DO, Director of Spinal Cord Rehabilitation at Akron General Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute, was recently installed as president of the Ohio Osteopathic Association (OOA). Dr. Scheatzle, a physiatrist from Canton, has been a leader in the osteopathic profession at the state and local levels and is a longtime member of the OOA Board of Trustees and the Eighth District (Akron-Canton) Academy of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. He has a private practice, Bailey Rehabilitation Services, in Massillon. He is a clinical associate professor at OU-HCOM and has written numerous articles and given multiple lectures related to his specialty. Dr. Scheatzle is the author of The Journey, a book that presents valuable insights into the rehabilitation process.
