Dear Neighbors, e beauty and bounty of autumn are on full display in the Hudson Valley. On Sundays, our farmers market in Rhinebeck is bustling with locals and visitors buying fresh-picked produce. ere are many farm stands and markets in our region to provide us with wholesome foods that also support local growers and their families. Nutritious eating and daily exercise keep us healthy and reduce the incidence of obesity and diabetes, one of Health Quest's goals. Enjoy the colors of fall! Put on a light jacket and participate in Health Quest's Walkway Fitness Challenge by going on a 2.5-mile round-trip stroll or run on the internationally known Walkway Over the Hudson. Ride the bike paths that connect to the Walkway, or take a longer ride on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail in eastern Dutchess or the Putnam Trailway that starts in Brewster. If you're ambitious, you can take the latter all the way to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Go for a hike at Minnewaska State Park in Ulster County or Fahnestock State Park in Putnam County. I want to make note of one special occasion. Oct. 29 marks the 50th anniversary of Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. Let's all wish a happy golden anniversary to our wonderful PHC family at our beautiful "hospital on the hill." Here's to the next 50 years of serving the people of Putnam, southern Dutchess and northern Westchester counties! All of us at Health Quest consider it a privilege to serve as your healthcare providers of choice, and as we approach anksgiving, please know how grateful we are for your trust, confidence and support. Sincerely, Luke McGuinness President and CEO Health Quest
