We'll also look at what's new in Urology – for men, women and children. May/June Neurology and Neurosurgery, Medical Technology The neurosciences have garnered renewed attention as advanced technology offers better ways to diagnose and treat a variety of disorders, including stroke, Parkinson's and essential tremor, epilepsy, ADHD, Alzheimer's and other dementias, etc. We'll also look at some of the newer technologies available locally to diagnose and treat other diseases. July/August Chronic Diseases, Pain Management Cancer, pulmonary disease, heart and vascular disease, orthopedic problems, urologic disorders, OB/GYN problems, digestive diseases, diabetes, headaches, infertility, chronic wounds, neurologic disorders, eye problems, hearing disorders, voice and swallowing disorders, etc. We'll look at what local doctors and hospitals are doing to diagnose, treat and palliate these and other chronic diseases. September/ October Surgery — Traditional and Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic, endoscopic, robotic-assisted, single-port and no-port procedures; Cyberknife, GammaKnife, and other radiosurgeries; sinuplasty, arthroscopy, virtual colonoscopy and more – the technology, the techniques and the local doctors who perform the procedures. November/ December Cancer, Hospice and Palliative Care Cancer is in the news as the controversy over screening guidelines continues. We'll focus on the best ways to diagnose, stage and treat male, female and pediatric cancers.
