W
hen it's time to cook dinner, do you send your little guy out to the backyard?
Enlist his help in the kitchen, instead. Here are three reasons why:
1. You'll be spending quality time together. Life is busy.
Cooking dinner while bonding with your child means
you can check both to-dos off your list at the
same time.
2. You'll be teaching him an important life skill.
Home-cooked meals tend to be healthier than
restaurant dishes or microwavable dinners. When
your little one strikes out on his own someday,
knowing how to cook will encourage him to make
smart nutritional choices.
3. If he cooks it, he'll probably eat it. Do you
have a picky eater on your hands? Getting
him involved in the cooking process
will make him appreciate the
food in a new way. After
putting in the effort to
prepare something
new, he might just
be tempted to
have some.
