IN 2014, FRANKFORT REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER: Cared for 5,103 people on an inpatient basis. Welcomed 795 babies into the world. Treated 36,564 people in its Emergency Department. Had 45,315 outpatient visits. Provided more than $33 million in uncompensated care to patients (including charity care, bad debt and uninsured discounts). JOBS & PAYROLL Frankfort Regional provides more than 650 area jobs, generating approximately $40 million in annual local payroll. We are one of the largest employers in Franklin County. The $40 million in wages and salaries Frankfort Regional pays their employees comprises more than 2 percent* of all wages and salaries in the county. TAX PAYMENT Frankfort Regional Medical Center paid nearly $455,000* in city and county occupational taxes and public school occupational taxes. Frankfort Regional Medical Center paid approximately $1.8* million in provider taxes to the state to help support the Kentucky Medicaid program. When matched with federal funds, their provider tax supports $5.9* million in state Medicaid spending. Kentucky receives $2.2* million in income and sales taxes linked to the wages and salaries of Frankfort Regional employees.
