However, I feel I can speak for many of us in the Hudson Valley when I say, "Welcome, spring!" As we wait for the trees to bud, the flowers to bloom and the temperatures to rise, it's time to think about getting outside, enjoying fresh air and sunshine, and doing something as simple as going for a walk. It's great for your heart, helps control weight and clears your mind. We know how good we feel after exercise. Inside this magazine is a story on an exciting development in our Health Quest system. A new Division of NeuroInterventional Surgery provides stroke care at Vassar Brothers Medical Center not available at any other hospital in the mid-Hudson Valley. We have already seen tremendous results with patients whose lives were saved while physicians averted the impact that strokes or aneurysms can bring. You will also learn about our initiatives in diabetes prevention, cancer care, clinical trials, the alleviation of back pain and cardiac health. We are your partners in health and wellness and consider it a privilege to serve and care for you. Sincerely, Luke McGuinness President and CEO Health Quest For inquiries or comments, please email myhealthquest@health-quest.org. If you're trying to keep track of multiple medical appointments for your family, Health Quest's patient portal makes it easier than ever — ask Dory Yatsko. As a working mother and development assistant for the Putnam Hospital Center Foundation, Yatsko uses the patient portal to organize not only her appointments but her parents' and son's health information as well. "I love the ease of access the portal allows me," Yatsko says. "Now I don't need to rely on anyone's recollection of test results or medications because I am able to refer to the patient portal. You have to be proactive about your medical care, and the portal gives you the support you need." TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PORTAL OR TO LOG IN, VISIT HEALTHQUEST.ORG/MYHQ247.
