Turning to Apps � A 2011 study from mobile analytics firm Zokem found that APPS ARE SIX TIMES MORE POPULAR than Web browsers on smartphones. � The same study found that smartphone users turn to apps 85 PERCENT of the time, while the Web browser is used only 15 PERCENT of the time. � Tablet users also use apps more than the Web, albeit at a less pronounced rate—61 PERCENT use apps, while 39 PERCENT turn to the Web.
