Health Quest 14 e Get Fit Hudson Valley program challenged the community to get out and get active, and that challenge was more than accepted. From May 1 to June 13, 1,410,560 steps were logged at Walkway Over the Hudson and Putnam County Trailway using the Health Quest U app, social media, getfithv.com and paper entries. Special Get Fit Hudson Valley events were hosted at both locations and included participation in the Relay for Life 5K fundraising and awareness events, a Zumba® demonstration, yoga classes, stretching instruction, and other free health information sessions hosted by Health Quest medical staff. Each time participants logged a visit or posted a picture to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #HQHealthySelfie, they entered a random drawing to win one of this year's prizes, such as Putnam County Trailway swag, Fitbit activity trackers and family packs of theme park tickets to Lake Compounce. Health Quest team members also got in on the fun, hitting the trails and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
