Transformation By the Numbers The Children's Hospital of San Antonio is undergoing a major transformation, updating our campus for our youngest patients. During the last two years, we have completed construction on several floors of the Hospital, including: • SEVENTH FLOOR: Cancer and Blood Disorders Center Outpatient Clinic • EIGHTH FLOOR: Cancer and Blood Disorders Center Inpatient Unit • NINTH FLOOR: Special Medicine Unit and Inpatient Unit of the Rehabilitation Center • -€TH FLOOR: Medical Care Unit • --TH FLOOR: Surgical Care Unit We have also completed a new, freestanding Children's Emergency Center at our Westover Hills campus. For the latest construction updates and other news from the Children's Hospital of San Antonio, visit chofsa.org. DIRECTIONS 1. Heat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. Drain and dry garbanzo beans. 3. In a large bowl, gently toss garbanzo beans with olive oil. Be careful not to break the skin of the beans. 4. Sprinkle salt and seasoning onto beans and stir until all beans are coated. 5. Spread on a flat, ungreased baking pan. 6. Bake the beans until they are crispy but not burnt. This generally takes between 20 and 30 minutes. 7. Remove beans from the oven and let them cool to room temperature. 8. Serve in small bowls or packed in plastic bags for on-the-go treats. "Eating nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day helps children think better and stay active, but many times they just want something they can eat with their hands," says CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital's Chef Keith Williams. "This recipe for toasted garbanzo beans is easy to follow and is a great substitution for chips, delivering a satisfying crunch that children will love."
