801 Page Dr Fargo, ND 58103-2315 A Life in Barb Johnson tells her story one scrapbook at a time. Barb embraces the sweeter side of life. She loves drinking cappuccino, making brownies, dancing, watching Disney movies, and collecting pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House for its recycling program. She's never happier, however, than when she's in the company of other people or chronicling her memories in scrapbooks. Twice a year, Barb's favorite activities intersect at a weekend scrapbooking and card-making retreat at Park River Bible Camp. "Barb loves pictures," said Brenda Watt, Director of Residential Services at CHI Friendship. Watt and her husband are Barb's medical guardians. "I coordinate the retreat, and when I learned Barb had become interested in scrapbooking, I knew she needed to come to the event. Earlier this year, she completed her seventh retreat. I like seeing Barb interact with the 40 to 50 other women who attend." PAGES OF MEMORIES Barb doesn't lack for material to put in her scrapbooks. She includes Christmas cards and photographs of her mother, nephews, and her support sta and their children. Other photos depict memorable moments from Barb's life, such as a trip to Florida. She may need an entire scrapbook just to hold the mementos from a Disney cruise she's planning to take soon. "Barb is a remarkable person who just loves life and enjoys being in the company of other ladies," Watt said. "I've known her since 1989, and it's so wonderful to see how she's developed her talents over the years." Pictures
