In a program called "Books for Babies," new parents receive a new children's book, along with information on the importance of reading to children and nurturing a love of learning.The gift, bundled in a baby diaper, also comes with instructions on how to check out books from the Enumclaw Library and a library card registration form. This special program is a community collaboration between the hospital, Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation, the Enumclaw School District and the Enumclaw Library, part of the King County Library System. ST. ELIZABETH DOCTORS GIVE BACK Thanks to their exceptional participation in the CHI Franciscan annual survey, the medical sta of St. Elizabeth Hospital earned a special honor: selecting a charity to receive $1,000 from CHI Franciscan Health. The sta chose to gift the funds to Knok Studio, an award-winning local nonprot media organization that connects talented lmmakers to meaningful projects that are aordable for charities and nonprots. With the gift, Knok Studio will help a local Enumclaw nonprot who needs their story told through a short lm.
