CLARE HOSPITAL PRESIDENT NAMED UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON TACOMA DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI Kathy Bressler, president of St. Clare Hospital, was honored with the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Washington Tacoma. The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes successful UW Tacoma graduates who have made outstanding contributions to their communities, profession or other areas of study. Bressler has served as president of St. Clare Hospital since 2006 and has executive oversight of CHI Franciscan Health's perioperative services, transfusion-free medicine, behavioral health services and women's/children's services. A registered nurse, she is also a member of the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives and the American Nurses Association. Bressler received bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from UW Tacoma. She currently serves as a clinical faculty member in the school's nursing program sharing her leadership experience and inspiring students through her work. Franciscan Vascular Associates vascular surgery clinic and vascular lab will move from the Specialty Center at St. Clare Hospital to an upgraded suite at the Medical Pavilion at St. Clare Hospital in August. The Medical Pavilion is located on the west side of the hospital, closest to Bridgeport Way. Franciscan Medical Clinic in Spanaway features a newly expanded and upgraded interior. Its recent remodel doubled the clinic's oce space and upgraded the look and feel of the oce. The clinic's current providers, Linh Vu, MD, and Linda L. Pelland, ARNP, FNP, look forward to welcoming several new providers over the next several months, which will enable the clinic to expand its primary care services to the local community.
