A 3-Star rating denotes the highest category for quality. STS recognizes programs across the nation for achieving exceptional outcomes such as low mortality and absence of complications. Only 7 percent of open heart programs in the country that are evaluated by STS received the 3-Star designation for AVR. " This quality award recognizes the excellent collaborative work by our full cardiac surgery team led by our cardiac surgeons and comprised of anesthesiologists, perfusionists, critical care nurses, nurse navigators and advanced clinical practitioners," said Michael Anderson, MD, chief medical officer of Harrison Medical Center. HARRISON MEDICAL CENTER SELECTS BALFOUR BEATTY CONSTRUCTION FOR SILVERDALE ACUTE CARE EXPANSION Harrison Medical Center has selected Balfour Beatty Construction's Washington State Division to provide preconstruction and construction services in support of the acute care hospital expansion in Silverdale. Balfour Beatty Construction is a national construction firm with a long-standing history in Seattle through its legacy company, Howard S. Wright. Last fall, Harrison announced NBBJ of Seattle as the project's architect. "Our goal with this expansion is to provide convenient access to exceptional health care that will meet the needs of patients and their families—as well as our doctors and clinical staff—today and well into the future," said David Schultz, president of Harrison Medical Center. Nationally recognized as a leading health care builder, Balfour Beatty Construction's more than 70-year history of renovating and expanding health care facilities includes more than 500 projects for health care systems. Groundbreaking for the new Silverdale facility is expected to begin later this year.
