Members of the Boys & Girls Club of Glen Cove
spent a day during their spring break shadowing
health care professionals at Glen Cove Hospital
to learn more about careers in the health field.
The teens got a firsthand look at the operations
of the emergency department, pulmonary rehab,
pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, nursing and other
areas. Shown here is Mindy Morales, 13, of Glen
Cove, who learned about intravenous lines from
emergency department nurse Evelyn Giannetti, RN.
