Dear Friend: The landscape of healthcare con nues to change, and thus we at KishHealth System must evolve and adapt in order to remain successful and capable of delivering quality care to the communi es we serve long into the future. Our role has expanded far beyond caring for people when they're hurt or sick to proac vely engaging with our community to keep people well. Our board and senior leadership con nually explore new ways to improve healthcare quality and accessibility for our community. We expanded access to care by adding a KishHealth System Physician Group loca on in Sycamore (the former DeKalb Clinic), growing the KishHealth System Physician Group to more than 50 providers in many special es—an exci ng and posi ve development for the delivery of healthcare in our community. We are thrilled to have expanded our services in Rochelle, where we now offer primary care, cancer care, laboratory, and radiology services. Construc on of a new pa ent wing at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich and renova on of the remaining areas of the building have been completed, which includes a new MRI suite, home to one of the area's only large bore MRI machines. We also opened a KishHealth System loca on in Plano, which delivers primary care, general surgery, and urology to that community. We are dedicated to improving the quality and safety of the care provided to our pa ents. Valley West Hospital earned 100 percent quality core measure scores by The Joint Commission three of the four quarters in fiscal year 2015. We celebrate this accomplishment and many others detailed in this report, and we strive to con nue our important work of caring for the communi es we serve. We remain commi ed to keeping healthcare services vibrant in our community. Our Board of Directors' decision to pursue an affilia on with Northwestern Memorial HealthCare was the conclusion of a very though ul process over many months of diligent research. We recognized the need to fill clinical gaps and to expand the depth of services offered locally. We are pleased to have found a partner that shares our values, goals, and a culture similar to ours. The coming together of our two organiza ons will be er posi on us to serve the future needs of our pa ents and community. We appreciate your con nued support and look forward to an exci ng future. Kevin Poorten KishHealth System President and CEO Thomas Matya KishHealth System Board Chair
