MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
Community service is one of the
intangibles that dierentiates one
community from another. ose of us who
have lived in Macon for any length of time
may have served on a board where we felt
the connection between "community" and
"service." e Medcen Community Health
Foundation, Navicent Health Board has
been one of those experiences for me.
Now that BB&T Market President
Scott Seigel has completed his tenure with
Medcen (nine years on the Board, two as Chair), the Chair reins have
been handed over to me. Of course, I have a capable sta supporting
the whole operation! e mission of Medcen is to "maximize donor
resources to improve the health of our region through community
and hospital partnerships." I'm looking forward to carrying on that
mission. e health and well-being of our family, friends and neighbors
are what we're focused on.
So, as we see each other around town, let me hear your thoughts
and ideas. Let me know if you're interested in helping us, or ask how
Medcen might be able to help an aspect of the community you're
involved with. You never know what might happen with one phone
call or conversation.
Finally, please join me in thanking Scott for his service. His
dedication and tenure are really the embodiment of what community
service looks like! ank you, Scott!
Sincerely,
Cal Hays
