Improvements include: • two new Demers Type III ambulances • new stereotactic breast biopsy unit • acudose medication dispenser Total number of employees: 360 Annual payroll for 2014: $20,145,512 Charity Care • $331,603 worth of services provided to those who could not pay for care. • $11,350 in in-kind community contributions and goods went to local organizations. • $1 million in tax dollars • Regular community events include: flu shot clinics, breast cancer screening clinics, annual Women's Health Expo. AT UP HE ALTH SYSTEM – MARQUET TE • Patient volume increased 6 percent in 2014. • Nearly 3,000 patients were treated in the cardiac catheterization lab. • Marquette surgeons completed 350cardiovascular surgeries, including implanting the first MRI-compatible heart defibrillator in the country. • $10,232,533 spent on capital improvement projects. The Hospital • Paid $7.2 million in taxes. • Provided $3,564,906 in charity and uncompensated care. • Spent $1,806,388 on community benefit programs. • Made sponsorships and donations totaling $184,0000. Total number of employees: 2,395 Annual payroll: $162,414,486 In 2014 we added more than a dozen physicians, including new specialists in: anesthesiology, cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, emergency medicine, family practice, hospitalist, intensivist critical care, interventional radiology, oncology medical director, orthopedics, pediatrics, psychiatry and urology.
