In July, we opened a new Senior Behavioral Health Services program. Located on the fifth floor of the hospital, our 12-bed unit treats adults 55 and older who are experiencing emotional or behavioral issues requiring short-term treatment for stabilization. We believe this unit meets a need for behavioral health services in our community and the surrounding area. In addition to offering this new service, the Senior Behavioral Health Services program also means new jobs. In fact, Frankfort Regional has hired over 100 new employees this year alone. While many of these employees were hired as replacements for existing positions, just as many are new positions needed to accommodate and handle our growth as a hospital. This makes us a strong business partner for the community, contributing through additional state and local tax revenue and local purchases made by our employees. We are honored and privileged to serve our community and take a deep sense of pride in our work and mission. If we can be of service to you, please don't hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, Chip Peal CEO, Frankfort Regional Medical school and residency hospital: University of Kentucky (medical school), Medical University of South Carolina (emergency medicine residency) Working in emergency medicine is great because: There are days when I feel that I've helped save a patient's life. I also get to treat people of all ages—from newborns to centenarians—and every day is different. I enjoy working with the team at Frankfort because: Everyone in our department works incredibly hard, and we look forward to providing great emergency care. In my spare time, I like to: Spend time with my wife, Amanda, and our two children, Lucy and Grant. I am also an active member of my church and enjoy watching and playing sports and traveling.
