hello to the Christmas season while raising
vital funds for the compassionate care
CHIMercy Health delivers every day.
The Festival of Trees gala takes place the weekend after
Thanksgiving—just about the time that everyone is getting into the
holiday spirit.
"Come and kick o your holiday in style," says Stephanie Mayeld,
Foundation/Mission Director at CHI Mercy Health. "Get inspired by the
decor, mingle with friends, and enjoy another tradition with us."
This year, we will celebrate the 20th Anniversary Festival of Trees
with a dinner and a holiday concert by North Dakota's own
Kat Perkins, who appeared on NBC's "The Voice."
IT TAKES A COMMUNITY
Local businesses sponsor the trees, wreaths, and mantelpieces, all of
which are auctioned o during the event, while local volunteers turn
those decorations into visual masterpieces for community members of
all ages to enjoy. Members of the CHI Mercy Health Foundation Board
lend a hand as well.
"I take care of silent auction items and join the decorating crew,"
says Dawn Mathias, President of the CHI Mercy Health Foundation
Board. "My oldest daughter even plays the role of Vanna White as each
