WINTER IS SUCH a wonderful time
of year. Between Thanksgiving,
Christmas and New Year's, we have
plenty of opportunities to spend
time with the people we love and
show them just how happy we are
to have them in our lives.
Here at King's Daughters' Health,
we try every day to show our
dedicated employees – nurses, doctors, therapists and
everyone else with whom our patients interact every
day – how much we value their hard work. That's why
we're launching a new initiative designed to show our
community just how valuable these employees are.
The first person I'd like to recognize is Helen
Pietrykowski, LPN, a nurse in our Orthopedics
Department. Helen has worked at KDH since 1991
and has been nominated for our Shining Stars award
numerous times.
Helen gives all she has every day to patients,
physicians and coworkers. She wants to make every
patient's experience at KDH the very best it can be,
and she demonstrates daily how much she appreciates
her coworkers with thoughtful gifts, treats and notes
of encouragement sent on a regular basis. In addition
to her work at the hospital, Helen gives back to the
Madison community through her work with Girls Inc.
and Habitat for Humanity.
We are so lucky that Helen has chosen KDH as her
place of employment for nearly 25 years – and our
patients are as well. She is simply outstanding.
