See Us at the Convenient Care Center It always seems like you or your loved ones get sick or hurt after your doctor's office is closed, but your illness or injury isn't bad enough to warrant a trip to the emergency room. Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center's Convenient Care Center is the perfect option for you! Located at 921 State Street, the Convenient Care Center provides care for the whole family. Our team of caregivers offers a wide range of services, including blood work, some vaccinations, in-house lab work, Department of Transportation and school physicals, and EKGs. Appointments aren't necessary, and most insurance programs are accepted. The Convenient Care Center is open from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Three-dimensional mammography helps monitor for signs of breast cancer. Maintaining good health is a lifelong battle, and we're using all the weapons in our arsenal to help you ght the good ght. Best regards, Nathan Howell President and CEO North Star Health Alliance is involved in several initiatives to improve health care in the North Country. These improvements hinge on changes enacted through the Affordable Care Act. One of these changes is the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program. The DSRIP is a funding program through New York state that is designed to restructure and reform Medicaid through more than $6 billion in investments statewide during a five-year- period. For North Star Health Alliance, DSRIP funds will allow us to invest in capital projects and provide specialty services. North Star Health Alliance is also working with six other regional hospitals to form a clinically integrated network (CIN). By providing a CIN, physicians and providers will work together to evaluate the quality of health care and work as a Medicare accountable care organization.
