7 CRHEALTHCARE.ORG More an a Hpital On Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, the Columbus Regional Healthcare System Foundation held its 11th Annual Hospital Gala to honor both current and former members of the Hospital's Board of Trustees. The gala, which was pearl and diamond themed, showcased portraits of past trustees. The trustees and family members were invited to the dinner and program, and at the end of the evening, they took their portraits, which once decorated the administrative conference room at the Hospital, home. "We wanted to return the portraits to their families," says Brenda Jolly, chairman of the 2015 Gala. "It's wonderful to see the pictures of the people who have been so involved in the history of our facility on easels all around the Gala." HOW THE FOUNDATION HELPS "Money raised at events like the Gala goes to help the Hospital with projects that are outside the scope of the budget," Jolly says. "It may go to our Chaplain's Care Fund, which helps patients who have medication or transportation needs. It could also help the Hospital to purchase new, more advanced technology. We are also looking into ways to aid the cancer center currently under construction." The Foundation is grateful to all of the members of the community who support these events—and the Hospital. "We want the people of the community to know what the Foundation is doing," Jolly says. "More importantly, we want them to know how much we appreciate their generosity."
