Are you hearing "l can't remember" a little too often? lntroducing the Southwest General Memory Clinic. Do you have patients who are experiencing any of the following cognitive-related symptoms: • More forgetful than usual, increased confusion • Word-finding issues, jumbled verbal sentences • Forgetting daily living acts like paying bills, missing appointments, taking meds, getting lost driving • Functional issues like unkempt appearance, dirty house, not getting out/seclusion If so, consider referring your patients to the Southwest General Memory Clinic. The Memory Clinic offers a comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis from a multidisciplinary team of experts. Patients will be in the compassionate care of a board-certified neurologist, a clinical neuropsychologist and a geriatrician. Specific recommendations for next steps and treatment options will follow the diagnosis. As the primary care physician, you will receive a summative report regarding your patient's diagnosis and recommendations. The good news is that about half of the cases of mild cognitive impairment may be halted from progression with appropriate interventions.
