Have you signed up? OUR SECURE, CONFIDENTIAL portal does more than give you electronic access to your health records. You can view your upcoming appointments, current medications, lab and test results (which are available within three days), vaccination history, and even records from your last doctor's visit. Here are three more things you can do with a MyKDH account: 1. Send emails to your doctor. New for 2016, MyKDH offers secure doctor-patient emails that make it easy for you to ask health-related questions any time of day. Your email will be addressed within two business days – voicemails and phone tag are no longer required. 2. Request an appointment. We've all been there – you just remembered you needed to schedule a doctor's visit, and the office is about to close. With MyKDH, you can send an electronic appointment request – when it's convenient for you – to a provider you have visited in the past. Someone from the provider's office will contact you with a finalized appointment time. 3. Keep tabs on mom and dad. If you're concerned about your parents' health, you can ask them to grant you access to their MyKDH accounts. Whether you live in town or far away, you can stay up-to-date on any appointments your parents have had or any new medications or tests a doctor has ordered. Fully certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, MyKDH allows only you and anyone you permit to view the information securely contained in your account. ■ Registering for MyKDH is free and requires nothing more than an email address. To learn more or to sign up, visit www.kdhmadison.org and click on "MyKDH" or call (812) 801-0520. ||||||||||||
