The Supported Employment Extended Services (SEES) department celebrates by having an annual bowling party. Theannual bowling event brings together the people we support for a time on the town and a time toconnect. "The annual SEES bowling party celebrates more than just games and fun; it celebrates relationships," said Brenda Majerus, SEES Director. "Every year, the people we support look forward to this event where they can socialize with friends and sta members. Area partners from across the community donate gifts cards and various door prizes. With each detail, we try to pull out all the stops to ensure everything goes well." While some people bowl, others enjoy pizza in the party room at West Acres Bowl. This allows everyone in attendance to be a part of the group. Each year, this event is special to all of the people we support, but this year we had four new people join the department. This event allowed them to visit with others and establish friendships during this time. "Not only does everyone go home full from fellowship and good food, they leave with budding excitement to continue the tradition next year— it's that special," Majerus said. The night wouldn't be possible without the support from the SEES sta members, community partners, and, of course, West Acres Bowl. Thanks to everyone for organizing another successful bowling event.
