We are once again pleased to share information about your local hospital and health system, including new and expanding services, improved technology and quality, and details about our outstanding providers. This fall edition of Health Matters includes a special center section that should serve as a handy resource for everyone. It features an extensive list of our healthcare providers, listed by specialty, and includes their contact information. We hope that this will prove to be helpful when searching for a trusted partner in healthcare. "Patient's First!" That's our goal at Columbus Regional— making sure that every patient receives excellent, high quality care in our hospital and at our physician practices. In this issue you will read about the Touchstone Award that our teammates recently received for doing just that. We are also pleased to introduce one of our newest teammates, Jeremy Simmons, MDiv, CRHS Chaplain. Thanks to the CRHS Foundation and Carolinas Healthcare System, his arrival this summer has provided spiritual care and support for patients of all faiths. His story and information about Spiritual Care at CRHS can be read on pages 4 & 5. And speaking of our CRHS Foundation, I hope that many of you will make plans to attend the 12th annual fundraising Gala that will be held on November 19. This year we are excited to honor our Volunteers who provide so much to our facility every day. Have a fabulous fall! To your good health, Carla P.
