Syosset Hospital recently named a new
chairman of its emergency department –
Alan Kaplan, MD.
Dr. Kaplan is also the chairman of
emergency medicine at Plainview
Hospital, where he has held that role
since 2009.
He is certified in emergency medicine
by the American Board of Emergency
Medicine. Dr. Kaplan is a graduate of
New York Medical College and completed
his residency at North Shore University
Hospital in Manhasset.

The following physicians perform procedures in the
surgical pavilion: David Kaufman, MD, breast surgeon;
Chris Moros, DO, orthopedic surgeon; Carlos Montero,
MD, orthopedic surgeon; Andre Saad, MD, director of
gynecology at Syosset Hospital, and his four partners;
David Hong, MD, colorectal surgeon; and Sanjay
Jobanputra, MD, colorectal surgeon.
The Plainview Surgical Pavilion has a family-
centered waiting room that allows patients and their
families to relax. Each patient has a private room.
The pavilion features two state-of-the-art operating
suites. Following surgery, patients recover in a nearby
six-bed post-anesthesia care unit. Most of the
surgeries performed are outpatient procedures.
