Family Birth Center Tour For parents-to-be who are considering or delivering at a CHI Franciscan hospital. Tour the family birth center of your choice and learn how to make the most of your hospital stay. FREE! Childbirth Preparation All CHI Franciscan hospitals oer childbirth preparation classes. Topics include pregnancy comfort measures, labor and birth positions and variations, and postpartum support. All classes include a tour of the family birth center. FREE with Provider One/DSHS card. Teen Childbirth Preparation Pregnancy Preparation Specically addressing the unique needs of young people age 19 and younger. FREE with Provider One/DSHS card. Breastfeeding Preparation Covers basic breastfeeding initiation tips and accessing postpartum lactation resources. Newborn Preparation and Care This one-time class covers topics such as postpartum care of mom and baby, hints for adjusting to new roles, basic newborn care, and resources. Safe Sitter Babysitting training for adolescents that discusses topics including emergency preparedness and child care. CPR and Infant Safety Learn basic lifesaving skills for infants and children and ways to childproof your home. Gestational Diabetes Class Thursdays, 1 p.m. BURIEN, Highline Medical Center, 16251 Sylvester Road SW Monitoring and meal planning for women who are pregnant and have gestational diabetes.
