A Tried-and-True Mission IN A DIGITAL AGE Improving access to health care has been a key part of Inspira's mission for decades. Long before the internet, smartphones and virtual services, we recognized that to do the most good in our communities, we had to be accessible when and where you needed us most. It began slowly at first. We added a few outpatient locations, launched a robust website and extended the hours for some services. Then in 2011, we introduced our first urgent care center, providing care 12 hours a day, seven days a week. And now, we are about to open our seventh and eighth urgent care locations in Haddon Township and Laurel Springs. As we continue to change and evolve, so do the lives of the families we serve. Many are busier than ever, and their health care preferences reflect their lifestyles. Convenience, efficiency and quick access continue to grow in importance when choosing a hospital or outpatient service. To help ensure we are there for you, no matter how busy your lifestyle, we now offer virtual visits, the ability to get in line for urgent care before you arrive, and Healthcare Concierge services designed to make accessing and arranging care easier than ever before. Yet, convenience counts only if our care is both safe and high-quality. That's why I'm especially pleased that all three of our hospitals earned an "A" on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade's fall 2016 report. I hope you will spend a few minutes with this issue of Family & Friends + You. You might just discover how to make all things health care a little easier. Wishing you good health, John DiAngelo President and CEO Inspira Health Network You wake up with a stuffy nose and sore throat. You have school lunches to make and deadlines to meet at work. In short, you don't have time to get sick. Fortunately, care is as close as the nearest computer, smartphone or tablet. Inspira Health Network recently launched Inspira eCare, a service that allows patients to connect with urgent care professionals virtually. These clinicians diagnose and treat more than 20 minor medical conditions, ranging from colds and flu to minor skin infections and stomach ailments. Inspira eCare is available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. How It Works "All you need to do is create an account and fill out an online assessment about yourself and your illness," said Evelyn Balogun, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., medical director of Inspira Urgent Care, Occupational Health and Employee Health. "A clinician reviews the information, makes a diagnosis, and sends you a treatment plan or prescription within an hour. In certain cases, the clinician may conduct a video consultation to get more information." If you need an in-person exam or have severe symptoms or a medical emergency, the clinician will refer you to an Inspira Urgent Care location or Emergency Department. THE NEXT TIME YOU HAVE A MINOR MEDICAL COMPLAINT, USE eCARE TO GET THE HELP YOU NEED. TO GET STARTED, VISIT www.InspiraHealthNetwork.org AND CLICK ON THE eCARE BUTTON. With Inspira eCare, you'll be on the road to recovery without a trip to the office.
