This issue:
Dear Friends,
Happy New Year from CHI
St. Luke's Health! In our latest
issue of Community, we offer
stories to inspire you, news to
inform you, and tips to keep
your entire family in good
health all year.
This issue, we lay out the benefits of saying
goodbye to social media while saying hello to
exercise and diet options that will help build
strength and protect bones. In celebration of our
partnership with the American Heart Association,
and in preparation for the Heart Ball this February,
we explore the differences in heart attack
symptoms between men and women.
No one should ever go without proper treatment
for a heart event or stroke, and this issue contains
vital information to help you and your family be
prepared to act in an emergency.
When emergencies do happen, CHI St. Luke's is
there where you need us, with hospital emergency
departments and freestanding emergency rooms
throughout the community.
All of the high-quality care available at
The Woodlands is made possible by our dedicated
staff and the generous support of volunteers and
donors. I hope the story of bariatric patient J.T.
Alford's incredible transformation inspires you
to embark on a new beginning in your own life.
Whatever direction you take for your health, look
to your Community for support.
