Veggie Appetizers in Fun Shapes Use cookie cutters and your favorite sliced veggies to make this twist on a traditional veggie tray. Recipe source: Ohio State University Family Nutrition Program INGREDIENTS 4 whole-wheat tortillas Non-stick cooking spray 8 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese 2 teaspoons garlic powder 4 cups sliced vegetables (broccoli, carrots, red pepper, green onion, etc.) NUTRITION PER SERVING (Makes 4 servings) Calories: 192 Total fat: 5g Cholesterol: 16mg Sodium: 374mg Carbohydrates: 31g Protein: 7g DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and use cookie cutters to cut tortillas. If cookie cutters are not available, cut tortilla into triangles. 2. Place tortillas on a sprayed cookie sheet, then bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown. 3. Mix low-fat cream cheese with garlic powder and vegetables. 4. After tortillas cool, spread cream cheese onto each shape and decorate with vegetables.
