Recently, we've had the chance to demonstrate our consistency by earning our second three-year verification as a Level III trauma center, as well as a three-year reaccreditation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. In addition, we received our fifth consecutive "A" grade in Hospital Safety. In order to sustain this level of quality, we continually seek to improve our practices and reinvest in our infrastructure. Over the past few years, we increased our number of employees by 15 percent, which has enabled us, in 2016, to provide more than 5,000 inpatients and 47,000 outpatients with the kind of care exemplified by Timothy Atkinson, MD, in our story on page 4.
